Trade Me

On 1050AM ESPN RADIO in Atlanta, Kobe Bryant has announced that he wants to be traded because of the inequities of the Los Angeles Lakers Team/Organization. Well, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. If he wants to move on, then it's time to move on. Unfortunately, the formula of the Kobe led Lakers has not worked. There has been no chemistry with this team, and the only attraction that the Lakers provide is Kobe scoring a ton of points. This team will not win. It's time for me to be GM and get rid of the most exciting player in the NBA.

Possible Trades (Each of these trade match salaries):

Seattle Sonics Receive - Kobe Bryant
Los Angeles Lakers Receive - Rashard Lewis, Earl Watson, 2007 1st round pick (2nd pick overall)

Dallas Mavericks Receive - Kobe Bryant
Los Angeles Lakers Receive - Dirk Nowitzki

or

Dallas Mavericks Receive - Kobe Bryant
Los Angeles Lakers Receive - Josh Howard, Jason Terry, and Devin Harris

Chicago Bulls Receive - Kobe Bryant
Los Angeles Lakers Receive - Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Andres Nocioni, and 2007 and 2008 1st round picks

Is Brett Favre that Good?

Since Green Bay has not surrounded him with the talent that he needs to win, he apparently went to management and asked for a trade. Which team on the verge of the Super Bowl will need Brett Favre? I will go down the list of each team and pick whether or not the team should pick Favre or stick with their current quarterback.

AFC EAST

Buffalo Bills – Favre
Miami Dolphins- Favre
New England Patriots – Tom Brady
New York Jets – This is a tough one, but I will stick with Chad Pennington

AFC NORTH

Baltimore Ravens – Close, but I’ll pick Favre
Cincinnati Bengals-Carson Palmer
Cleveland Browns – Favre, he’s still a better QB then Brady Quinn
Pittsburgh Steelers-Ben Roethlisberger

AFC SOUTH

Houston Texans-Favre
Indianapolis Colts-Peyton Manning
Jacksonville Jaguars-Another tough one, but I’ll go with Favre
Tennessee Titans-Vince Young

AFC WEST

Denver Broncos-Jay Cutler
Kansas City Chiefs-Favre
Oakland Raiders-Jamarcus Russell
San Diego Chargers-Phillip Rivers

NFC EAST

Dallas Cowboys-Tony Romo
New York Giants-Eli Manning
Philadelphia Eagles-Donovan Mcnabb
Washington Redskins-Favre

NFC NORTH

Chicago Bears-Favre
Detroit Lions-Favre
Minnesota Vikings-Favre

NFC SOUTH

Atlanta Falcons-Michael Vick
Carolina Panthers-Jake Delhomme
New Orleans Saints-Drew Brees
Tampa Bay Bucs-Favre

NFC WEST

Arizona Cardinals-Matt Leinart
St. Louis Rams-Matt Bulger
San Francisco 49ers-I’ll surprise you with this one, Alex Smith
Seattle Seahawks-Matt Hasselbeck

Of all the NFL quarterbacks, I feel that there are 17 better quarterbacks then Favre. I am not demeaning his career or taking anything away from Favre, but he is on the tail end of a great career. Physically, he still has the tools to be a pretty good quarterback, but does not have enough weapons to lead the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl. His ideal situation to win another Super Bowl is the Chicago Bears. They have all the pieces necessary to win except a QB. I feel that he is still a better QB then Rex Grossman. Favre has not been able to change himself from a gunslinger into a smarter QB who plays within the offense. He has still shown glimpses of greatness, but is now just a turnover machine.

Why the Warriors are Awesome

I'm a Warriors Fan

This is why I will buy season tickets for the Golden State Warriors. Look at their newest fan.

NASCAR FANS PLEASE GROW UP!

I was watching a highlight of the Aaron’s 499 in Talladega where Jeff Gordon was victorious. Then, the fans began to throw whole beer bottles on the track before the race was even over. Dale Earnhardt Jr. went on the microphone to try to calm them down, but it was of no use.

Wow! Where do I begin with this one? Jeff Gordon, probably one of the best drivers in NASCAR, but also one of the most polarizing figures in the sport. Since his entrance to the sport, the NASCAR fans have been resentful of his success and his “yankee image.” He has won 4 Winston Cups, the predecessor to the Nextel Cup. He is a winner. Let’s be honest here. To all the NASCAR fans out there, Jeff Gordon is better then your favorite driver. Dale Jr. fans out there call me when he actually wins something and isn’t using his father’s name for popularity. Listen, I understand he doesn’t speak with a southern accent or shops at the Piggly Wiggly, but give me a break. I can’t imagine being at a Laker game and when Steve Nash dishes out 17 assists and we start throwing Bud Lights at him. Face it NASCAR fans, Jeff Gordon is better then all of you. He is a good looking driver who dates supermodels. You don’t find wives that look like this at Talladega.

NASCAR, please grow up. You want to be a legitimate sport. Take away people throwing bottles at your drivers especially your most popular driver outside of NASCAR. NASCAR, you are asking us to look down at you. Seeing that spectacle on Sunday makes me look at myself and say, “Yes, I am better then them.” Is that what you want NASCAR?”
